Job Skills / Requirements

Silver Shield Security is hiring PPO/Level 4 and Armed/Level 3 Officers throughout Texas.  We are building rosters and filling schedules, you must complete your application and submitt all credentials to ssshr@silverssecurity.com     You will then be emailed background check forms to fill out and you must clear this check to ensure employment with us.  We are a great company to work with, we like to make sure our employees are happy and always have support when it is needed. We are always attempting to promote from within. Our Shifts range from 6-12 hrs per day. Pay varies depending on experience, apply today.  Backgrounds usually take 2-5 days for clearing.

Level III: $15-20ph

Level IV: $25-28 ph

BSL_Basic Life Support Certification
Texas Level III Armed Guard Card
Texas Level IV PPO
Drivers License

Requirements:

Security Officers Requirements:

1. Be twenty-one (21) years of age;
2. Must have a Level III or Level IV TXPSB Certification
3. Must have 2 years experience as a Security Officer
4. Have completed training in de-escalation courses specifically designed for security officers. Courses must be taken every four years to be considered valid; and
5.  Have completed training in physical restraint courses specifically designed for security officers. Courses must be taken every four years to be considered valid.
6. A preference will be given to Security Officers with experience working with a similar population of Children and Youth.
7. Must have required duty gear.
8. Must not have an open investigation with Texas DFPS or have a case against your that resulted in children being taken out of your custody.

Uniform Attire:

• Khaki Pants/BDU's
• Black boots/Shoes
• Black Duty Belt

Must be able to work with or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, writing, occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing for both short and long periods of time, walking, walking up inclines and on uneven terrain, walking for long periods of time, climbing stairs and frequent lifting and/or moving of 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds.
