Position Summary:  
Brazos Electric is seeking a Manager of Cybersecurity and Energy Management Systems (EMS) to lead Brazos Electric’s cybersecurity program and oversee the EMS department. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of IT security principles, best practices, technologies and process and have demonstrated ability to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies that enhance the organization’s defensive capabilities. The candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively at a technical level and ability to effectively plan, direct, delegate and coordinate multiple complex tasks concurrently. 
 
Responsibilities:
· This role serves as the information security subject matter expert to all projects and     provides security expertise on how to implement best security practices for application,  database and system technologies.
· Designs, implements, and maintains a robust cybersecurity architecture that aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Develops and delivers cybersecurity awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices.
· Establishes and implements business analysis processes that promote a consistent and thorough assessment of current state business Cyber processes and future business requirements that promote and support an enterprise analysis perspective.
· Recommends and provides work direction in the maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of EMS computer systems and computer peripherals. Analyzes, recommends, implements and provides work direction to maintain EMS hardware and software.
· Ensures the EMS is updated regularly and maintained to ensure optimal performance; reviews and updates maintenance schedules and procedures necessary to maintain computer systems used for the EMS. Oversees upgrades and patches to address vulnerabilities and improve system capabilities.
·  Manages, hires and leads EMS team. Provides work direction to teams to maximize productivity, effectiveness and teamwork.
 
 
Required Qualifications:
Education/Experience
· Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MSIS.  
· Seven (7) years’ experience in IT or OT cybersecurity and five (5) years of supervisory experience.  

Equivalent Education/Experience
· Related degree or relevant military experience. 
· Ten (10) years of related technical experience, relevant industry certifications, and five plus (5+) years of experience in a leadership role. 

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTERATIONS
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP. CISA, ISSAP, SANS, GIAC) are preferred.

Education Requirements (Any)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or MSIS
