Job Skills / Requirements

  • The position is: Full Time
  • Work Shifts Available: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Overnight
  • Workdays Available: Candidates should be flexible Monday – Sunday
  • Weekly pay
  • Pay Rate: $20.00- $22.00  hour
  • Must exhibit great customer service skills, will be interacting with the general public daily and interaction with client and staff
As a Security Guard, you will serve and safeguard clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
  • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
  • Each security guard shall be able to stand on their feet for an entire tour and work outside in any type of weather element.
  • Personnel must be able to understand, speak and write the English language fluently, and be able to communicate with personnel and the public intelligently.
  • This is for placement on a Con Edison site, so security guards must have knowledge of knowledge of the information regarding Handling Motor-Fuel Gas Stations and Fleet Service Stations, as outlined within the FDNY P-15 Examination
 

 

Education Requirements (Any)

High School Diploma
GED

Certification Requirements (All)

Active Security Guard License

Additional Information / Benefits

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles;  Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • 2 year of verifiable experience
  • Must have P-15 Certification of Fitness issued by FDNY
  • Valid Security Guard License from NYS
