Team Lead $31.50 Hourly

Functional Responsibility:

Maintains access control, processes DHS PIV cards, and provides for the administrative and coordination of activities in support of the security services being provided.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to escorting all I&A senior leadership visitors not briefed at the required level for entry; shall process security clearance requests that have been vetted through the State & Local Program Office; preventing unauthorized entry and/or any attempted unauthorized entry into Building. Ensure only authorized personnel enter/exit the facility; verify visitor clearances via a visit request and/or utilized the DHS visitor database for verification of the identity and clearance level of all incoming visitors; maintain accountability of all visitor badges; issue visitor badges according to appropriate clearance level; maintain the safety and security of the facility and personnel by conducting random reviews to ensure unauthorized material is not taken in nor taken out of the facility; provide mediate response to various security inquiries and situations; monitor daily operations, inventory logs, approved access lists, and visitor reports. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment.

Minimum/General Experience:

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of security-related experience as a Security Guard.
  • Access Control and Badge and Pass Operations.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Skills - Dealing with Uncertainty, Judgment, Objectivity, Dependability, Emotional Control, Integrity
  • Safety Management. and Reporting Skills.
Mandatory Requirement:

Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information, Top Secret/SCI clearance level.

High School Diploma or GED
