Absolute International Security (AIS) is a licensed Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Private Patrol Operator (State Lic. PPO 16302) that provides security services spanning the greater Los Angeles Area, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that any potential threats are addressed promptly. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and emergency response, contributing to the overall safety of the premises.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities and incidents.
• Enforce rules and regulations while providing excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.
• Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV to monitor activities.
• Provide first aid or CPR assistance in emergency situations as needed.

Skills

• Proficient in conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations effectively.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
• Experience in loss prevention strategies and practices.
• Familiarity with law enforcement procedures is a plus.
• Ability to perform first aid and CPR; certification preferred.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with staff and the public.
• Military experience is an asset but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $18.53 per hour

Expected hours: 40. per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only

Ability to Relocate:

• Sylmar, Ca

Work Location: In person

Job Offers and Contingencies
If your qualifications match our openings and you are made an offer of employment, all offers will be contingent upon the following conditions being met satisfactorily. Such contingencies must be met prior to commencing employment.

Failure to meet all contingencies satisfactorily will result in the offer of employment being rescinded. In the event that a candidate may be allowed to commence work while waiting for the results of the contingencies, the employment would terminate immediately if any of the above contingencies is not satisfied. Offers of employment must be in writing, signed, and authorized by Human Resources in order to be valid.
