Position Overview:
The HR Generalist serves as a strategic and operational partner to site leadership, supporting employee relations, workforce planning, onboarding, and compliance across assigned locations while aligning with ServiceMaster and client standards. Acting as a liaison between employees, leadership, and corporate HR, this role manages employee lifecycle processes, supports performance management, and promotes a compliant, productive work environment. This hybrid position combines HR partnership with hands-on administrative responsibilities and requires a strong on-site presence to support onboarding, engagement, and daily operations.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- HR Partnership and Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
- Partner with leadership to resolve employee concerns, guide disciplinary actions, and coach on performance, attendance, and conduct
- Promote employee engagement and retention through trend analysis and improvement initiatives
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and client expectations across locations
- Act as an escalation point for employee relations issues and maintain communication between employees, leadership, and corporate HR
- Travel between assigned locations to support HR operations, ensuring consistency and compliance
- Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, background checks, and new hire readiness, ensuring a compliant and consistent experience
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR data systems, ensuring compliance in timekeeping, documentation, and reporting
- Coordinate recruitment and candidate flow to support hiring and staffing needs
- Handle Workers' Compensation claims and track recordable injuries for annual OSHA reporting
- Support employee transitions, including role changes, terminations, and reassignments, ensuring proper documentation and communication
- Partner with leadership to align staffing levels and workforce planning with operational needs
- Recruitment & Staffing Support
- Screen candidates from recruiting platforms and submit qualified applicants for review.
- Maintain recruitment postings and support candidate communication throughout hiring and onboarding.
- Compliance, Training & Reporting
- Help support HR by coordinating employee training programs and support administrative processes, ensuring compliance with client and company standards
- Maintain eHub records and review timecards to ensure accuracy and timely payroll processing
- Maintain onboarding, training, and compliance documentation using Microsoft Teams and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards
- Monitor workforce trends (e.g., turnover, attendance, hiring) and provide insights to support operational decisions
- Work Location & Schedule Requirements
- This is an office role requiring five (5) days in office to support onboarding, employee engagement, and daily operations

Physical Demands and Qualifications:
- Ability to read and write; bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Ability to work in varying environments, including exposure to noise, heat, and cold
- Experience in administration, HR, or compliance (facilities or industrial settings preferred)
- Proficiency in verifying government-issued identification and detecting discrepancies or fraud
- Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills, with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and HR systems (e.g., WinTeam or similar)
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and digital recordkeeping systems (e.g., WinTeam or similar).
