Job Skills / Requirements

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst to play a key role in our manufacturing organization. You will work closely with accounting, manufacturing, operations, and leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, optimize product costing, support pricing strategies, and identify opportunities for improved profitability.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintain and analyze product standard costs within a manufacturing environment
  • Investigate manufacturing variances, production efficiencies, and margin performance
  • Partner with Operations and Manufacturing leaders to identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Support product pricing decisions through detailed cost and profitability analysis
  • Lead monthly and annual close processes
  • Analyze financial results and proactively identify reporting or classification issues
  • Assist with annual budget and forecasting processes
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Serve as administrator for the company purchasing card program
  • Manage sales and use tax compliance, filings, and audits
  • Assist with annual audit and tax preparation activities

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting or finance experience, or equivalent progressive accounting experience
  • Strong cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing costs, variances, margins, and operational performance
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (AX, D365) or similar ERP systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of sales and use tax compliance and integrated tax software preferred

Education Requirements (All)

Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance plus (3) + years of relevant progressive experience
