  • Manage domestic and international supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and improve supplier quality, delivery, and performance.
  • Anticipate material needs, proactively address shortages and supply disruptions, and work with manufacturing teams to support changing production requirements.
  • Balance material availability with inventory investment, improve inventory turns, and identify opportunities to reduce excess inventory and purchasing costs.
  • Evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical solutions that strengthen supply chain performance.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including inventory accuracy, supplier on-time delivery, purchase price variance, and material shortages.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Sales, and other teams to align supply chain activities with company goals.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of purchasing and production planning experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, supplier management, inventory control, and production planning.
  • Experience managing complex material requirements across multiple products, suppliers, or manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating supplier agreements, improving processes, and driving measurable results.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to balance strategic priorities and daily operational needs.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
