Event Staff – East Lansing (Part-Time, On-Call) – $19/hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide a welcoming and professional presence at large-scale events.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and safety monitoring.
• Work primarily on Saturdays and special event days (4–8 hour shifts).
• Operate as part of a cohesive team ensuring a safe environment for guests.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, navigate stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Must pass a background check in compliance with the Private Security Business and Security Alarm Act (PA 330 of 1968).
• Must adhere to the drug free workplace act and pass an oral drug screen (including marijuana).

Details:

• Position type: Part-Time, On-Call (minimum 4 shifts per month).
• Pay: $19/hour for college events. Rates vary at other locations.
• Location: East Lansing (various event venues).
