Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Inventory and Procurement Manager to oversee sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management of chemicals, PPE, tools, and other sanitation-related supplies across multiple facilities. This role ensures materials are available at the right time and cost, supporting operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, and Core Business Support (CBS) to optimize the procure-to-pay process and develop high-performing vendor partnerships.

Compensation: $85k DOE


Key Responsibilities

Procurement and Sourcing

  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies for chemicals, PPE, equipment, and services
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with vendors
  • Lead RFP/RFQ processes for high-spend categories; consolidate suppliers where feasible
  • Collaborate with Finance and Legal to ensure contract compliance and PO-to-invoice reconciliation
  • Partner with Operations, Safety, and FSQA teams to evaluate and approve products
  • Support regional sites with emergency or just-in-time procurement
  • Monitor market trends, new product innovations, and sustainable purchasing options

Inventory Management

  • Standardize and manage inventory control procedures across warehouses and plant locations
  • Forecast inventory needs aligned with operational demand and projects
  • Maintain accurate procurement records including pricing, contracts, and supply levels
  • Track and report on key inventory KPIs
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts with CBS and site leadership

Process Improvement

  • Develop and maintain SOPs for procurement, receiving, and inventory control
  • Train staff on inventory procedures and procurement best practices
  • Identify areas for process optimization and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze inventory trends and recommend corrective actions as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in sanitation or facilities management
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Proficient in inventory management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems (Dynamics 365 a plus)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a remote setting


Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of sustainable or eco-friendly purchasing practices
  • Experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and SKU rationalization
  • Professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP, or ISM CPSM/CPSD)


Travel Requirement

  • Up to 25% travel to regional warehouses and customer sites
