The national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), based in Louisville, Kentucky, serve and work with mid-councils, congregations and partner organizations to carry forth the mission of Jesus Christ in the World. The work at the Presbyterian Center is carried out by approximately 400 staff members in several national entities: Office of the General Assembly, Presbyterian Investment and Loan, Presbyterian Mission Agency, Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, Presbyterian Women and the Administrative Services Group.
The Development Specialist offers investments, sells loans, and provides financial consultation on capital projects to congregations, governing bodies, and Presbyterian related organizations and institutions.
This position is regular full-time, working from residence, and is available to interested candidates anywhere in the United States.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: A minimum of three to five years of experience in sales and marketing. Experience in a religious non-profit setting or financial institution is desirable. Experience in or understanding of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) ethos and structure is desirable.
Work Schedule: Normal work week is Monday through Friday with frequent weekend assignments to accommodate meetings and special work activities. The normal workday 8am – 5pm.
Working Conditions: Normal office working conditions and hazards exist. Incumbent may be required to lift boxes of materials weighing 5 to 10 pounds. Position requires sitting for extensive periods of time at the computer. Frequent travel is required.
The successful candidate must be capable of obtaining and holding appropriate professional registrations and licenses, including Series 63 and Series 7 Securities Registration.
