The national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), based in Louisville, Kentucky, serve and work with mid-councils, congregations and partner organizations to carry forth the mission of Jesus Christ in the World. The work at the Presbyterian Center is carried out by approximately 400 staff members in several national entities: Office of the General Assembly, Presbyterian Investment and Loan, Presbyterian Mission Agency, Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, Presbyterian Women and the Administrative Services Group.
Position Purpose: Under the supervision of the Organizational Communications Manager, the Social Media Assistant will support the strategic communications plan for social media to raise awareness of the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA) and its work.
This is a One-Year Term Contract Position, working part-time 18 hours per week, non-benefits eligible.
The work schedule is Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 p.m. E.S.T. to 12 midnight E.S.T. and Fridays and Saturdays from 8 p.m. E.S.T. to 1 a.m. E.S.T.
Essential Position Requirements:
Education: Associate's degree, preferably in marketing, public relations, communications, or related field
Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in social media strategy/digital communications.
Helpful Skills: Knowledge of social media analytics. Fluency in languages other than English is helpful.
