Overview

The national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), based in Louisville Kentucky, serve with mid-councils, congregations, worshipping communicates, and partner organizations to carry forth the mission of Jesus Christ. The Presbyterian Mission Agency is the ministry and mission agency of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Position Purpose:

Under the supervision of the Associate Director for Digital & Marketing Communications, the Communications Strategist for Video & Digital Asset Management will play a critical role in developing and executing communications tools that raise public awareness of the Presbyterian Mission Agency in the U.S. and around the world.

Bias toward taking responsibility of a project, and shepherd it from the idea stage to completion. This individual will manage multiple simultaneous marketing communication projects from concept to delivery with attention to quality and details.

Role/Responsibilities

  • Develops and produces video assets to promote, engage and communicate stories and initiatives throughout the Presbyterian Mission Agency.
  • Responsible for producing livestreams seamlessly, using technical expertise in the operation of audio and video equipment used, as well as knowledge on bandwidth requirements for livestreaming content. Prepare files, scenes and streaming protocol before the live stream. Troubleshoot video and audio streaming systems.
  • In collaboration with Multi-Media Producer, develops and maintains a system to track videos that can be used across multiple channels.
  • Identifies the scope of the photos in the Digital Asset Management system. Works with ministry staff to acquire photos from their travels and ensure photographs are added to the DAM system with appropriate photo credits, tags and captions
  • Other duties as assigned.

Competencies Required/Preferred

  • Demonstrated success setting and achieving measurable strategic goals
  • Experience managing multiple projects and communications deliverables
  • Strong communication, analytical and strategic mindset
  • Ability to set short- and long-term planning goals in line with larger organizational priorities
  • Proven ability to produce clear, concise materials on tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of basic photography
  • Intermediate level video editing and assembly
  • Basic camera operation
  • Expertise of adobe creative cloud
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work evening/weekend hours on occasion to support events/programs/travel
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Some knowledge of working with a faith-based organization

Credentials Required/Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of strategic communications and video production experience.

Accountability

  • Reports direct to Associate Director of Digital and Marketing Communications
  • Communications Department of Presbyterian Mission Agency
