Position Overview:

The Healthcare Zone Supervisor is a key position that acts as the liaison between management and frontline staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills that enables them to build positive, lasting business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. He or she will be responsible for fostering a welcoming morale in the workplace, delivering quality services to our clients and work with the Healthcare Client Service Manager to continuously improve the services that Paladin delivers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and oversight on daily frontline duties
• Lead by example and act as a role model to frontline staff
• Work with minimum supervision and be able to make informed decisions on-the-go
• Share information between clients, management and the frontline staff, ensuring that our workforce is equipped with up-to-date and accurate information and expectations from our client
• Foster an open, positive work environment and solve workplace issues with tact and professionalism
• Provide coverage at sites as determined by operational requirements, which can include nights and weekends as needed
• Ensure company procedures and policies are adhered to and conduct regular site visits to support our frontline workforce
• Keep stock of forms, uniforms, and equipment to provide timely product delivery to the other Healthcare staff
• Handle employee inquiries and requests; work with management to identify collaborative solutions
• Provide regular reporting to branch management and operations
• If required, provide transport for an Officer who accepts a short notice shift or between sites
• Other duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous 2 years+ supervisory experience would be considered an asset, preferably in a security or customer service setting
• Must be available to work evenings, nights, weekends and day shifts
• Able to travel up to four hours to communities outside of the Edmonton area
• Basic computer literacy
• Physically able to walk 18 – 20 km/day
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, combined with observation skills and clear record-keeping skills
• Ability to make informed decisions with limited information, sometimes in urgent situations
• Able to handle and protect confidential information

High School Diploma/GED
