Position: Security Guard
Site: Huron College University
City: London, Ontario
Status: Temporary Full Time (September 2, 2024 until second week in October 2024)
Hours: Monday - Friday 0800 - 1600hr
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Essential Job Function:

Essential Job Function:
- Implement security measures to protect property, control access to sites and ensure client rules and regulations are followed
- Maintain confidentiality
- Maintain written reports
- Perform security checks and liaise with students, customers, and the public
- Ensure site safety and emergency procedures are followed and maintain written reports
- Enforce compliance to company policies and procedure
- First aid – be prepared to administer when required
- Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through collaboration
Watch for and report irregularities by completing incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required - Perform miscellaneous job–related duties as assigned
Please note, students currently enrolled at Huron University are not eligible to apply for this position.
Job Requirements:
- Must possess Ontario Security Guard Licence
- First Aid & CPR – Emergency Level
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Physical Demands include excessive walking and standing
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact, and diplomacy
Certification Requirements (Any)
Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
