Site Description:
Working on assigned shifts, you will work part time shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance. In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: Saturday and Sunday 15:00 – 23:00hrs
Payrate: $ 18.54/hour

Key responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of property, persons and information
- Tasked with patrolling property on foot
- Effective communication
- Monitor CCTV system
- Respond to calls for service in a timely and urgent manner (may be required to run)
- Attention to detail
- Report writing, deploying and collecting equipment such as Radio's and Keys
- Manage high stress and complex decision making
- Knowledge and enforcement of Trespass to Property Act (TPA)
- Enforce mall Code of Conduct in compliance with TPA
Prerequisites
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
