Duties, and responsibilities are including:

  • Physical Access Control 
  • Administration including Visitor and Contractor Access (identification, badging, sign-in/out, and administration) 
  • Local Key Control (includes documentation tasks) 
  • Security escort for unauthorized individuals from property 
  • Safety / Security escort for employees, as requested 
  • Crime prevention and security risk mitigation patrol (foot and mobile) 
  • Lock and unlock access points, as required 
  • Identify, address, and mitigate exterior infrastructure safety and security risks through exterior patrols and inspections 
  • Concierge duties, as per site requirements (i.e. safe walk, courier / mail receiving) 
  • Site emergency response, as outlined in Post Orders or other procedures, or at the direction of the client (including liaison with client’s Incident Command and/or emergency response personnel) 
  • First Aid response (OFA-Level 1), as required 
  • Facility patrols (interior / exterior) as per site requirements (includes mobile patrols) 
  • Incident reporting and associated documentation 
  • Site alarm monitoring and associated response (i.e. Fire Alarm, CCTV, card access, building systems alarms, etc.) 
  • Equipment inspections, (i.e. first aid kit, fire extinguisher) 
  • Incident report writing and documentation 
  • Monitor, address, and report on policy compliance issues as they relate to safety, security and emergency preparedness at the client locations 
  • Other associated duties, as required and approved by the Client  

Minimum Requirements 

  • Basic Security Training 
  • B.C. Provincial Security License 
  • Minimum 3 months experience as a guard 
  • Basic computer skills 

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid BC Security Licence
Valid Certification in First Aid, CPR and AED
Valid Class 5 License
