We are proud to partner with Indigenous Communities across Northern British Columbia to create meaningful employment opportunities within our Critical Infrastructure Security Program.
We are currently seeking both licensed and unlicensed candidates who are interested in building a career in the security industry.

Licensed Applicants
If you currently hold a valid BC Security Worker License, we encourage you to apply. A member of our Talent Acquisition team will contact you regarding available security positions.
Unlicensed Applicants
We offer a free Basic Security Training Program to members of Indigenous Communities who are interested in gaining foundational skills and exploring careers in the security field.
This program supports employment readiness, career development, and community engagement through accessible, culturally respectful training.
About the Program
Participants will receive comprehensive, entry-level training in key areas of the private security industry, including:
- Introduction to the security industry
- Legal authorities and responsibilities
- Report writing and documentation
- Personal safety and use-of-force principles
- Emergency response procedures
- Communication and conflict resolution

Eligibility Requirements
To participate, applicants must:
- Identify as a member of First Nations Community
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Be at least 19 years of age or meet the BC Security licensing requirements
- Demonstrate an interest in developing skills for a career in the security industry
- The Basic Security Training Program provides the participants the opportunity to obtain their BC Security license. To support smooth transition into employment, successful participants must meet the minimum qualifications of the Industrial Security Guard position such as
- Be physically capable of performing security duties (e.g., standing, patrolling, working in various weather conditions and environments)
- Must be able to read and write reports manually and through reporting devices/technology
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to travel to and from the site independently
- High school diploma or equivalent is an asset
Program Cost
There is no cost to participate in this training program. Participants are not paid during the training period. However, successful completion may lead to employment opportunities, subject to licensing requirements, operational needs, and applicable provincial regulations.
Career Opportunities
This opportunity is to be involved in overseeing a Critical Infrastructure Security Program related to Phase 1 of The North Coast Transmission Line. Phase 1 of the North Coast Transmission Line is being developed in partnership with First Nations from the following communities: Lheidli T’enneh, Saik’uz First Nation, Nadleh Whut’en, Stellat’en First Nation and Nazko First Nation.
Key Responsibilities (Post-Training):
- Conduct routine patrols (indoor and outdoor)
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations
- Monitor CCTV systems
- Access control
- Prepare accurate incident reports
