Position: High Profile Security Guard
Status: Full Time
Hours: Continental Days/Nights
Payrate: $24.00/hr
Overtime Method: Averaging agreement over 88 hours
Internal Closing Date: June 22nd, 2026

Job Overview: In Downtown Toronto, our Security Professionals will oversee a busy retail and commercial environment in downtown with high pedestrian traffic. Security staff are responsible for access control, mobile patrols, monitoring activity, and responding to incidents while delivering strong customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the property (interior and exterior), including parking areas, entrances, and common spaces, to ensure safety and identify any security risks or hazards
- Monitor and control access to the building by verifying IDs, managing visitor/vendor entry, and ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas
- Observe site activity and monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems to detect suspicious behavior or incidents
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, emergencies, or disturbances, and escalate to emergency services or management when required.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other unauthorized activities.
- Provide customer service support by assisting tenants, employees, and visitors with directions, inquiries, and general site support.
- Enforce property rules, safety procedures, and company policies to maintain order and a secure environment.
- Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, first aid response, and coordination with first responders when required.
- Conduct routine inspections of doors, locks, gates, and lighting to ensure the property is secure and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client.
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
- Strong communication skills and professional attitude
- Prior experience in security and/or post-secondary education in a related field would be considered an asset
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the certifications with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
