Floyd Lock and Safe is looking for a full time Lock Shop Technician at our lock shop in Bloomington. Hours: Monday – Friday, 0730 – 1600, excluding holidays.

Here’s what you’ll need:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Pass background checks and drug tests.
- Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the State in which the branch operates.
- High School Graduate or GED is required for all Per Mar Security Services/Floyd Lock and Safe positions.
- Should have knowledge of master key systems, pinning lock cylinders, cutting keys, electronic and mechanical locking hardware and safe locks.
- Basic computer skills
 - Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security/Floyd Lock and Safe – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service and Accountability.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

- Prepping lock hardware for the field locksmiths.
 - Service and repair lock and door equipment, including mechanical and electronic door locking/securing hardware.
- Rekey lock cylinders and cut keys.
- Answering phone calls and emails.
- Assisting walk in customers to the Lock Shop.
 - Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the specific lock related equipment works.
 - Communicate with customers, co-workers, and scheduler/dispatcher.
 - Complete proper paperwork as necessary.
- General maintenance of the Lock Shop
 - All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Lock Shop Supervisor specific to the operation of daily business functions.
